A response to Styron’s 1990 memoir, this artifact details my attempt to understand what it is like to struggle with major depression. I've spent much time reading and researching perspectives written by
people who struggle with depression to gain insight.

A paper on ACT and the treatment of
generalized anxiety disorder co-occurring with major depressive disorder. Using evidence-based treatments are paramount to helping clients
improve. This paper documents growth in the realm of treatment planning and integrating therapeutic interventions that are proven to help clients.

The loss of a child can affect not only the
parents but a whole community, especially if the loss is due to suicide. This presentation integrates information on the best practices for counseling grieving parents along with a personal story and resources.

A comprehensive proposal
detailing how to run a bereavement group that is welcoming and geared toward individuals and family members who have lost a child to suicide or overdose.

This difficult to write and honest account shows my commitment to ensuring that I develop self-awareness for my own racial tendencies and biases. The only way I can
change beliefs and mitigate harm caused by institutional
racism is to be aware of its insidious nature. By doing this, I can foster well-being and hopefully mitigate harm done to people by their own community and beyond.

I firmly believe that the foundation of effective counseling lies in achieving unconditional positive regard for the client. This project reflects my commitment to fostering a compassionate, non-judgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and valued. It also emphasizes my dedication to upholding clear ethical boundaries, ensuring that the counselor-client relationship remains both supportive and professional. This artifact represents my ongoing pursuit of relational excellence in counseling practice.
