About Me
I currently balance being a full time teacher by day, an intern at Equilibrium, a private counseling practice in West Seattle afternoons and weekends. I bring a unique blend of analytical thinking and compassionate care to both educational and therapeutic settings. Committed to fostering mental well-being, I draws on a rich background in teaching, problem-solving, and relationship-building to support diverse client needs.
In 2022, I lost my 13-year-old transgender child to suicide. Not only has this incredible loss affected my perception and the evaluation of my own spiritual connection, but it uniquely qualifies me to sit with the discomfort as there is nothing that can "fix" losing someone close. I've felt the stigma and judgment that sometimes comes from others, and the hurtful things they say out of sympathy and not knowing. I will sit with you through the pain and I promise, no platitudes or wishful thinking. I am also a strong ally to the LGBTQ+ community and have experience working with individuals who are neurodivergent.
